The promise - Romans

This mornings reading was in Rom 4. I like the way "the message" translation puts it, when Paul talks about Law vs Faith.

"A contract drawn up by a hard-nosed lawyer and with plenty of fine print only makes sure that you will never be able to collect. But if there is no contract in the first place, simply a promise - and God's promise at that - you can't break it. 16 This is why the fulfillment of God's promise depends entirely on trusting God and his way, and then simply embracing him and what he does. God's promise arrives as pure gift." Rom4:15-16

Great news! I can't break God's promise. I want the faith to enter into the life He has prepared for me.

Yesterday the Lord in his great mercy, blessed a lot of programming effort on my portal software. The captive portal allows users being able to discover, sign-up, and pay for services without human intervention!

Something I've learned this last month has been the power of the open source technical community. Whenever I had important questions about stuff I knew (like iptables) I would join the mailing list and post a question. Saves lot of time

When I started using new important SW packages (like chillispot) I also joined email lists. Using a separate Google gmail account makes managing and referencing all list activities easy and powerful. I recommend it highly.

Praise the Almighty for lessons learned and, as always, for "another day above ground" to know & seek His plans for this day!
